"Pillow Talk"

"Pillow Talk"

by John S LES

I remember you telling me the about Jack and The Bean Stalk
I remember you telling me you loved me, just by the way you walk
But what I miss the most about you,
Is our pillow talk.

You told me how was your day was by the fireside.
Our days were filled with adventure on our motorcycle ride.
Only with you I always felt so alive!
I still taste your lips every time I close my eyes.

I miss your story about Jack and The Bean Stalk
We would last forever - that's what I thought.
What I miss the most about you,
Is our pillow talk.

I hugged and kissed you by the candle fire.
Your sweet laugh - oh the love it inspired.
But no love can't go living with careers on a high wires
We loved our work more than we loved our desire.

You once told me a bedtime story about Jack and The Bean Stalk.
Now we see other and just wave, wishing each other good luck.
Why is this the life we so hard fought.
What I miss most about us...
Is our pillow talk.

Oh yes our pillow talk.
That's what I really want.

The Secrets to "Where Did Our Love Go Blogspot"

Some of my family, friends and coworkers are constantly asking me questions about this particular blog.  In some instances, they have actually been either shocked or misunderstood some of my postings.  Even though they know me, they read a post and think that everything I write is about something happening in my personal life.  All I can say is that you've got it all wrong.  In fact, these writings aren't about me.  This blog is simply about love.  Love for yourself, your family, your friends, a significant other in your life, and even love for your ethnicity and nationality.  The title of this blog raises the very question that seems to be on everyone's mind, yet no one has the courage to actually verbalize it.  We seem to be afraid to talk about love and it's different forms, almost as if it were a plague or a sign of weakness.

For example, "Dark Love" isn't about any of my personal sexual practices, it's simply about a form of deep, sensual love that some people enjoy.  "My Love For My Country - Mother Ukraine," well...I'm not Ukrainian.  I'm 100% American.  But I have a friend who has been experiencing the historic changes in that country that the world has been watching the past five or six months.  That poem was dedicated as a peaceful rallying point for all sides in Ukraine to remember what they are actually fighting and striving for.  And lastly, on my "Goodbye My Son" poem, I can assure you that I do not have a fractured relationship with my son.  I have blogged about him on some posts at my NYEastsideEntertainment.blogspot.com.  However, there are men, plenty of men, who do have fractured relationships with their son(s).  That poem was written to show that here was a man recognizing his own faults and weaknesses as he has an epiphany that what was happening was his own fault, and not his son's or anyone else's.

Therefore, "WhereDidOurLoveGo.blogspot.com" is simply about love.  If you're reading this, or your friend, mother, brother, sister, wife or boyfriend is reading this - this is a good thing.  We need to look love in the eyes.  We need to see and understand and better learn to accept love for what it is, rather than walking around and judging one another.  If you're wondering where love has gone, it hasn't gone anywhere.  It just seems to me that we are simply more afraid to reach out to one another and speak about it.  We sort of have hidden ourselves behind the walls of our homes, our computer keyboards, and our mobile devices.

I encourage anyone and everyone who reads my posts, to simply allow themselves to have an open mind, to see and recognize these instances of love that I write about and perhaps to learn from the love in their own lives and help make themselves, and those around them better.  Let's communicate!   You can leave a comment or reach out to me and share your thoughts through any of the other mediums listed.

Ultimately the real secret about this blog is that most of it has been inspired by those of you who have reached out to me and communicated some element of love.  I hope that I can continue to share those sparkling jewels of knowledge in such a manner that all of us can become better at understanding love.

"The Power of Jade"

"The Power of Jade" by John S LES

Mankind is walking the tightrope of future technology.
But all over it's greed that's destroying the world economy.
You got apples and oranges making hundreds of billions
There are still people poor, with no education in tens of millions
Where's the Love in the world to stop this atrocity?
The ordinary man must break this monopoly.

It's time for people to remember the basics.
A body with no soul - is a life that's just wasted.
Money, bullets and bombs but no conscious - nah - ain't gonna make it.
Without a soul in your heart you just can't fake this.

The power of conscience and compassion must never fade.
It's the lure of power, love and acceptance that we all crave.
But, it's not just our own lives that we have to save.
God  sees through the wicked with green eyed power of Jade.

What is the power, the power of the Jade?
Wise men have searched - right into their graves.
The Haves and Have Nots - oh look at this life that we've made.
Is this the dawn of the new tech age?

We can't forget to maintain the power of faith.
We have to remember that we're all one race.
We have to remember we all live in one place.
Knowing that everything on earth is connected - will be our saving grace.

We've forgotten to respect this planet we call our home.
We've forgotten the natural powers around us - even in a gemstone.
These are the times when our understanding is being tested.
Respect of a greater power in everything around us - must be accepted.

What is the power, the power of the Jade.
Wise men have searched - right into their graves.
The Haves and Have Nots - is this the life that we've made?
Is this the dawn of the new tech age?
Smart people with no life education.
A world where only the few are allowed participation.

Is Jade a mineral, a person or just ancient belief?
You hear about it from Orient, to Syracuse, to even the Caribbean corral reef.
You see, there's are things greater than just money to achieve.
Shh...read on...so you can follow this motif.

The ancients say Jade attracts money and spiritual strength.
They say it attracts lovers or protects from any evil that you might be up against.
And this is what all religions say we should be fighting for.
To uplift our spirit's, our consciousness - even more.
Or like a bad apple we'll just grow rotten from our core.

What is the power, the power of the Jade.
Wise men have searched - till they fell into their graves.
The Haves and Have Nots - is this the new future that we've made?
Is this the dawn of the new tech age?
Too many people texting at a street light.
Then they crash and wanna be in the right.

Mankind walking the tight rope of technology.
But it's all the greed that's destroying the world economy.
Where's the Love and Humanity to stop this atrocity?
Some people playing God, but really just a wannabee.
They couldn't tell you the difference between astronomy and astrology.

What time is it?  It's 5pm.
Oh now I have to get to the gym.
I have to get there and get my workout.
Spend some time to get this hurt out.
I see all these kids walking around with a smartphone.
But they can't think?  They can't spell? - Man, I better leave it alone.

It is great to have money, talent, intelligence, or street smarts.
It is great to be filled with dreams to get richer -
But your love for family and humanity is what will stay with ya.
Evil souls take your positives for a weakness and any weakness for being a fool.
Their hearts are dark and selfish - they were teaching from the Devil's school.

God is smiling on us but he's crying too.
Because He is watching the hell that we put ourselves through.
The new tech age is here and it's not too late.
To make sure all life around us can participate.
Into a better future, a better world, where love is a promise kept.
This is the future for which our ancestors have wept.
Let's get this done as one - and with no regrets.

What is the power, the power of the Jade
Wise men have searched - right into their graves
The Haves and Have Nots - is this the future that we've made?
Where only the Haves get paid in this tech age?
I refute this -
I can't compute this
Not as long as I have the power of the Jade.
